Omar Thowfeek

Omar Thowfeek is Chief Operating Officer of Hines Global Income Trust, as well as Senior Managing Director of Fund Management at Hines. He leads the underwriting and capital deployment efforts for all real estate acquisitions and is responsible for the execution of Hines Global Income Trust’s business plans and operations, including real estate and debt investments and portfolio strategy. Omar joined the firm in 2014 and assumed responsibility for international acquisitions and portfolio management for Hines Global Income Trust in 2017. During his tenure at Hines, he has underwritten over $20 billion in global real estate across multiple asset classes throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.
In addition to his responsibilities at Hines, Omar participates as a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin and Rice University, and previously held positions at IDI Gazely (Brookfield) and Kimco Realty Corporation where, among other responsibilities, he underwrote potential acquisitions across multiple product types throughout the United States.
