In such a dynamic environment, staying ahead of the curve requires a workforce equipped with cutting-edge skills and a profound understanding of global financial markets. Recognizing this imperative, key stakeholders convened to chart a course for talent development that aligns with industry demands.
One of the focal points of the discussion was the promotion of self-study graduate program, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program, as a means to cultivate a highly skilled talent pool. The CFA designation is widely regarded as the gold standard in the investment management profession, symbolizing expertise in investment analysis, portfolio management, and ethical conduct. By encouraging graduate trainees and colleagues to pursue the CFA Program, employers aim to nurture professionals capable of navigating complex financial scenarios with
confidence and integrity. The certification courses offered by the CFA Institute were also mentioned namely the Investment Foundations Certificate, Certificate in ESG Investing, and Data Science for Investment Professionals among others.
Furthermore, the meeting attendees deliberated on the importance of providing comprehensive information sessions to elucidate the value proposition of professional certifications. The CFA Institute and CFA Society Philippines proposed organizing an information session to offer detailed insights into the curriculum and examination process. This is not only demystify the program but also empower aspiring finance professionals to make informed decisions about their career trajectories.
