Overview

CFA Society Kansas City was originally founded in 1952 and admitted as a Society on February 4, 1953, making it the 13th oldest Society within CFA Institute.  The Society was incorporated in Missouri on August 7, 1970 under the name "Kansas City Society of Financial Analysts".  Currently the Society consists of over 550 members serving the financial communities in the Kansas and Missouri region.

Mission

CFA Society Kansas City serves its members by providing a regional forum for the discussion of investments, economic and finance.  The organization promotes high standards of expertise and conduct among investment managers and analysts.

Objectives

  • Provide members with educational programs, networking opportunities, and access to information
  • Assist Chartered Financial Analyst candidates
  • Enhance understanding of the investment decision-making process among the general public
  • Raise awareness of the value of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation within and outside the industry
  • Endorse high ethical standards among Society members and the broader investment community
  • Encourage diversity among Society members and, therefore, in our industry
  • Accomplish the above while maintaining a sound financial position
