I have joined CFA Society Ukraine in 2011 as a Volunteer coordinating CFA Institute Research Challenge in Ukraine, prestigious student competition in equity research worldwide. Since 2012 has been serving as a Board Member and the Head of Education & University Relations Committee (University Liaison Committee). Since 2012 was the Head of CFA Institute Research Challenge in Ukraine.

In my professional life I have lead numerous successful businesses and investment initiatives in Construction, Renewable energy projects, Settlement of superfoods production facilities in Ukraine, Steel trading and production market in the positions of CFO and CEO.

OLENA MATVIICHUK

Short bio:

Olena, a seasoned HR consultant, excels in sourcing and recruiting financial executives. With over 15 years of experience, she hasworked with financial institutions, asset management companies, investment banks, private equity funds, industrial groups, venture capital firms, and the fintech sector.

Since 2011, Olena has actively contributed to CFA Society Ukraine projects, including the CFA Institute Research Challenge and the Ukrainian Investment Forum. She is a speaker for CFA Institute Research Challenge and moderator of Career Day. Additionally, as the Chair of the Job Placement & Career Development Committee (2014-2024), Olena spearheaded the launch of Career Centre (Jobline), a platform for financial market career opportunities. During wartime, she also initiated and co-headed the Fearless Girls Program, supporting Ukrainian female professionals in finance and investment.

YAROSLAV NEVMERZHYTSKYI, CFA, FRM, ERP

Short bio:

Professional with 20+ years of rich and diverse exposure to corporate finance and risk management. Now I`m engaged in the energy sector, leading during last 5 years the risk management and market analytics practice at U.Commodities, energy trader, after serving for 3 years (2016-2019) as a Deputy CRO, Financial Risk Management team leader at Group of Naftogaz.

Holds CFA charter, Certified Financial Risk Manager and Energy Risk Professional by the Global Association of Risk Professional. Now, I`m working on the Machine Learning Institute Certificate in Finance.

A member of the CFA Institute, GARP, CQF Institute.

I have the honor to be awarded ‘Continuing Education Milestone 2019’ from CFA Society Ukraine.

I have a huge experience in designing and implementing educational courses and professional trainings, including but not limited to teaching at Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (2000-now), co-heading the financial module in an international project of MBA Programme development in Ukraine jointly implemented with French business school ESIDEC and governed by the French Ministère des Affaires Etrangères (2004-2006), implementing financial programs for Eastern European countries from the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (UK) (2006-2008). contributing to the development and promotion of the professional certifications by the GARP as a member of pro bona working groups for the development of the FRM and ERP curriculum (2016-2022).

ANTON PARZHYN, CFA

Short bio:

Anton Parzhyn, CFA, is a finance professional with a proven track record in finance, strategy, and management reporting. With extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving strategic initiatives, he is known for his proactive approach and commitment to achieving company-level results. Anton holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 2018, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to the field of finance. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at a leading energy company, Anton is responsible for overseeing all C-level group managerial reporting and investments. Previously, as Head of Economics and Strategy, Anton directed the full cycle of strategy development, collaborating with top management and Big3 consultancies. Anton's career at DTEK began as a Manager at the Analysis and Controlling Department, earlier roles include Strategy Analyst at Kyivenergo and Market research at Pro-Consulting, honing skills in market research and financial modeling. With a master's degree and Ukrainian Executive MBA committed to professional development is evident in courses on negotiation and strategic business ideas. Anton excels in leading finance teams, driving strategic initiatives, and contributing to business growth.




NATALIIA PELYKH, CFA

Short bio:

I am a CFA charteholder since 2018 and have served as a Board Member since 2020. I am mostly focused on increasing brand awareness and wider international partnerships. Over the past 4 years, I conducted two webinars as part of Society's educational activity and published two articles in CFA Institute blog. I secured connections that helped Society to get support from IBM as a target for CFA Institute Research Challenge. My wider network from Stanford GSB is actively supporting mentorship within Fearless Girls program. I also became a mentor in the most recent mentorship program from the Society. For the past two years I participated as a jury for TOP-50 Women in FinTech in Ukraine.

Over the past 10 years, I have built a distinctive background in senior customer-facing roles at Big4 and global IT companies. Currently, I am in a transitioning period to take the role of Senior Value Adviser, EMEA at cybersecurity company. Before this, I worked for two large IT companies represented in Ukraine - Ciklum and SoftServe. Before getting into the digital industry, I worked as Valuation & Business Modeling Analyst at EY.

NATALIIA SHPYGOTSKA, CFA, PHD

Short bio:

Nataliia Shpygotska is a Deputy Head of the Research department at the Dragon Capital, the leading investment company in Ukraine. Natalia joined Dragon Capital’s research team in 2012, initially focusing on food and agriculture industry and later expanded scope to Ukraine’s public corporate universe.

Natalia graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2016, Natalia received a Ph.D. in finance from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and became a CFA Charterholder.

OLGA TETERUK, CFA

Short bio:

Olga Teteruk is an industry professional, providing consultancy services to Cibus Capital LLP since September 2016. Before that Olga has been working as an investment analyst at investment fund for four years. She holds Master’s degree in Finance and Credit from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. Olga became a CFA charterholder in 2016 and passed the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing in 2020. She has experience in serving as a mentor of CFA Institute Research Challenge in Ukraine during 2013-2020 and 2023.

 

KOSTIANTYN YAKUNENKO, PHD, CFA, CAIA

Short bio:

Kostiantyn has been with Adamant Capital since 2011, playing a pivotal role navigating various stages of projects from origination to closure, with a focus on developing transaction structures that align the interests of all stakeholders harmoniously. This multifaceted role builds upon his foundational experience gained since 2008, starting as an equity research analyst with the multinational firm, Galt & Taggart Securities Ukraine. He then distinguished himself at Gainsfort Research, Ukraine’s leading investment research boutique, consistently securing top rankings in Bloomberg Analyst Recommendations, specializing in the high-turnover electricity sector equities. He earned a Master's in Economics, with distinction, from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and subsequently completed a doctoral degree, with a dissertation focusing on Ukraine’s integration in the energy sector and ecological upgrades of thermal power plants. He maintains a strong connection with his alma mater, developing and lecturing on an Investment Portfolio Management course. Holding CFA and CAIA charters, symbols of his commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in the investment management industry, Konstantin was recognized as “Volunteer of the Year 2022” by the CFA Society Ukraine. He actively serves on the Education and Continuous Professional Development committee and participates as a mentor in several of the Society’s programs, further emphasizing his dedication to professionalism and education in finance.
