CFA Day: A Celebration
CFA Society Vancouver hosted its annual celebration on June 18, 2024 with keynote speaker Shane Parrish. Shane is the Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestselling author of Clear Thinking and founder of Farnam Street Media, Latticework Publishing, and Syrus Partners.

Michael Ryan Award of Excellence
The Michael Ryan Award of Excellence was presented to Ms. Ileen Peng for her contributions to the investment profession. In her current role at The City of Vancouver as a Senior Treasury Manager, she manages The City's $3.7 billion investment portfolio and $1 billion debenture program. She has developed investment policies and strategies to enhance The City's portfolio performance and align with industry practices while supporting The City's objectives and priorities. She has collaborated with the Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia (MFABC) to create a fossil fuel free Diversified Multi-asset Class (DMAC) Fund. She currently serves on the MFA Pooled Fund Advisory Committee, providing advice to the MFABC senior management on operations, oversight and creation of investment mandates (AUM $4 billion). During 2021-2023, she participated in the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Body of Knowledge Committee for The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).
